Vagabond #1 - Ralph Vaughan Williams
Give to me the life I love,
Let the lave go by me.
Give the jolly heaven above,
and the by way nigh me.

Bed in the bush with starts to see,
Bread I dip in the river.
There's the life for a man like me,
There's the life forever.

Let the blow fall soon or late,
Let what will be o'er me;
Give the face of earth around,
And the road before me.

Wealth I seek not hope nor love,
Nor a friend to know me;
All I seek, the heaven above,
And the road below me.
Or let Autumn fall on me
Where a field I linger,
Silencing the bird on tree,
Biting the blue finger.

White as meal the frosty field
Warm the fireside haven.
Not to Autumn will I yield,
Not to winter even!

Let the blow fall soon or late,
Let what will be o'er me;
Give the face of earth around,
And the road before me.

Wealth I seek not hope nor love,
Nor a friend to know me;
All I seek, the heaven above,
And the road below me.

Vagabond #2 - Mark Patterson

Down the road he travels,
another day's journey begun.
One more dream to follow,
onward goes the vagabond.

His table sits by the river
his bed looks up to the stars.
Freedom is his companion;
onward goes the vagabond.
He takes the road that few men travel;
a lonely path that few care to try,
but there he finds the things of beauty
that heaven and earth provide.

Down the road he travels,
another day's journey begun.
One more dream to follow,
onward goes the vagabond.

Onward goes the vagabond.
Onward goes the vagabond.

Our Town

No good choral versions. Let's make the best one out there :)
Long ago but not so very long ago,
the world was diff'rent, oh yes it was.
You settled down and you built a town and made it live
and you watched it grow. It was your town.

Time goes by and time brings changes and you change too.
Nothing comes that you can't handle, so on your go.
You never see it comin' when the world caves in on you,
on your town. There's nothing you can do.

Main Street isn't Main Street anymore.
Lights don't shine as brightly as they've done before.
To tell the truth, lights don't shine at all in our town.
Sun comes up each morning just like it's always done.
Get up and go to work, and start the day.
You open up for business; it's never gonna come.
as the world rolls by, a million miles away.

Main Street isn't Main Street anymore.
No one seems to meet us like they did before.
It's hard to find a reason left to stay, but it's our town.
We love it anyway.

Come what may, it's our town.
Come what may, it's our town.

"Africa"

Dahs

I hear the drum echoing tonight,
but she hears only whispers of some quiet conversation.

She's coming in twelve thirty flight,
her moonlit wings reflect the stars that guide me towards salvation.

I stopped an old man along the way,
hoping to find some long forgotten words or ancient melodies.

He turned to me as if to say,
"Hurry boy, it's waiting there for you."

It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you.
There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do.
I bless the rains down in Africa.
Gonna take some time to do the things we never had.

Dahs

The wild dogs cry out in the night
as they grow restless longing for some solitary company.

I know that I must do what's right,
sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympus above the Serengeti.

I seek to cure what's deep inside,
frightened of this thing that I've become.

It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you.
There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do.
I bless the rains down in Africa.
Gonna take some time to do the things we never had.
